Sincere Conversations: unfancy talks

Sincere conversations: unfancy talks

A zine in which I transcribed a conversation I had with a few dear friends of mine, at a coffee bar in Antwerp, where we talk about nothing.

I wanted to focus on HOW we talk and foremost how we talk WITH each other, because I realized that the way I talk with my queer friends varies a lot from the way I talk with my straight friends.  Pop culture, the internet and African American Vernacular play a big part in the language my friends and I use, in which it also became clear to me that different groups in society speak diffferently because of the specified and filtered way we absorb the information and media that is available to us.

Riso printed at SO-RI print in Antwerp, 2024.
